New waters enter the map only when an authoritative source explicitly reports muskellunge. Shared waters appear under each relevant town without duplicating the water record. Wisconsin WBICs and Michigan NEW_KEY identifiers keep same-name waters distinct. Direct public access and boundary-water regulations remain marked unknown where current authoritative records do not resolve them.
